While going through the search results, we found a news report published on s Indonesian website. The news report published on 7 July 2018 detailed five ship accidents that took place in Indonesian waters. The news report carried the same photo and it was captioned in Indonesian, “A 3-year-old toddler managed to survive thanks to his mother s embrace. In the KM Lestari Maju accident, an unidentified toddler was also found. Photo: Special / Mongabay Indonesia.” When we searched for “KM Lestari Maju accident”, we found reports of the ship by the same name that sank off the coast off Bulukumba, South Indonesia. Indonesia’s disaster agency told news agencies that at least 34 people died in the accident while 155 passengers were rescued.

Qatargas completes first STS LNG transfer involving a Q-Flex vessel

Advertisement Qatargas Operating Company Limited (Qatargas) announced today the completion of the first-ever commercial ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of an LNG cargo involving a Q-Flex LNG vessel. The transfer took place at Subic Bay, Philippines. A full cargo of 212 000 m 3 aboard the Qatargas-chartered Q-Flex vessel Mesaimeer was loaded at Ras Laffan Port on 18 December 2020 and delivered as two separate parcel discharges. One parcel was delivered as the STS transfer in Subic Bay on 6 January 2021, and the second parcel as a delivery to Jiangsu LNG terminal, China. Both sales were made to PetroChina as the customer.
